Not much happening this summer the RAINS kept the river high and sort of muddy most

of the summer.

We have scheduled Oct 26 as the day we pull the dock out.  We are going to need some help.

We will be having a Picnic/cookout that day also, so bring your appetite.

***************************************************************************************************

Another good volunteer turnout, we launched and secured the dock on

July 1.

The weather and river tested it right away, and there have not been

ideal conditions for boating.  Please enjoy the facility and

 post pictures when you can.

Be safe and have fun.

Now only if the weather cooperates we should have

a great season.

The next meeting is scheduled for JULY 31 at 7:00pm, at the Boat launch.

************************************************************************************************

Happy New Year to all.

The first meeting of 2019 will be on March 27th at the Coulter Firehall at 6:30 PM

We have  officer, trustee, and committee positions in need of your help.

we have annually and to help with the organization of the club activities and up-keep.

Basically work details, launch and dock maintenance, the fish derby and fish stocking.

These are fundamental to the clubs purpose.  These and new ideas, interests and activities can only happen

with your help.

Reservations for the pavilion are first come first served there is no fee for using

the pavilion, all we ask you to do is to take your trash home, we do not have trash

Happy Fathers Day .

Work detail to put the dock in.

Check FACEBOOK or this Website for the date.

If you have some free time the weeds need to be cut down along the driveway from

the  gate to the ramp on both sides this includes the hillsides.

Just bring you weed wacker and start wacking.

****2018******************************************************************************************

We had our first meeting for 2018 the turnout was pretty good.

I wish that we would have at least half as many at our regular monthly meetings.

We discussed about dropping the Website and only using Facebook.  The majority wanted to

keep the website,  so we are going to keep the Website but we will still keep

the Facebook page.

The will be a couple work details in April

April 7 for cleaning up  the area of debris from the river

April 21 TBA  will post on the Website and Facebook

We will try to have the Boat dock in before Memorial Day

The next meeting is April  25 at the Boat Launch.

****2018****************************************************************************************

Happy New Year to all.

The first meeting of 2018 will be on March 28 at the Coulter Firehall at 7:00 PM

We had our stocking this past fall and all the fish looked pretty good.  We got the fish from the

same supplier that we had at the end of 2015 .

(SCHULTZ'S FISH HATCHERY from Lake Ariel PA)

I see that we are getting more hits on the Facebook page than on the website.

I'm going to suggest that we drop the Webpage and only use Facebook.

Facebook is free and we pay for the Website, We can put that money we pay towards purchasing some more walleye.

Hope to see everyone at the meeting in March.

***********************************************************************************************

We had no official meeting this month however we had a work party a couple weeks ago

to build the dock.  (see the Facebook page there are a few photos of the dock being reconstructed )

A big shoutout to those who helped.  At this past meeting all that was done was the installing of the boat dock.  It looks pretty good.

Lets hope the weather starts to cooperate so that we can use it

Now all we have to do is look into purchasing walleye for stocking in Oct/Nov.

**********************************************************************************************

We held our meeting and mostly discussed what needs to be done about the Boat Dock.

Nothing was finalized about what to do, just discussed what NEEDS to be done.

If anyone knows where we can get a dock or the materials to rebuild  the current dock please let us know.

We signed  up a couple new members that night, if you know anyone who might be interested in joining

have them come to a meeting.

As for the stocking of walleye his fall it may depend on what we have to do for the dock.

The river was pretty high this week but it has gone down some.  The lower portion of the ramp had some mud on it.

Freda has posted a picture of it on our Facebook page.

If anyone needs firewood there is the big tree that fell down last fall it needs to be cut up.

If you have some free time the weeds along the ramp need to be whacked from the gate down to the waterline

and on the hillside below the pavilion.

**********************************************************************************************

The first meeting was a success, we had quite a few members come in

to renew their membership, we also had signed up a few new members.

A few people inquired about using the pavilion,

It is first come first served and it is FREE to use all that we ask is for you to

take your trash. (We don't have trash pickup).

If you want to use the pavilion you must contact Mike Neal or Jim Dishong (check the contact page)

so that they can check to see if someone is signed up for it.

We also post it at the pavilion.

The launch ramp has been cleaned, it is now ready for use.

We DONOT have a dock anymore, it was damaged beyond repair last fall by high water.

We will be discussing what we need to do at the next meeting, if you have any suggestions please

come to the meeting.

****2017*****************************************************************************************

The first meeting for 2017 will be at 7:00PM at the Coulter Fire Hall Wednesday March 29th.

Sign up for the new year should start at 6:00 pm.  Dues are $26.00 which includes a key for the gate.

The boat dock was badly damaged last fall.  The river came up sooner than we thought.

The dock may not be repairable. If anyone knows where we can get a used dock please let us know

as soon as possible (A new one would cost WAY too much).

**********************************************************************************************

We will be stocking the Walleye on Tuesday October 18 at 3:00 pm.  So if you have time we will be needing help in

stocking the fish.

**********************************************************************************************

To all member:  I am sorry for not updating the newsletter the last couple of months.

To be honest we haven't had very many members at the meetings only the officers and a few members show up.

We have decided on the fish supplier and now we are waiting for the water to cool down

enough so that the fish will survive.

We will be posting when he will be delivering the fish on the Website and our Facebook page.

We may need a couple of boats to help with the stocking, we will need some 5 gallon buckets for stocking.

For those of you who are not on Facebook you can ask any member of your family that is, to check for you.

We tried to have another chance at the Fishing derby the weather was great and the water was real nice

but we only had a couple people to show up.  We ended up canceling because of lack of interest.

*********************************************************************************************

It looks like we may have found a fish supplier from the eastern part of the state

(SCHULTZ'S FISH HATCHERY from Lake Ariel PA).

He said that it would be better to stock the fish in late October early November because water

temp would be better then.

A posting will be put on this website and our Facebook page when he will be here.

Will need a few boats to stock up river and down river and also need some 5 gal buckets to haul the fish.

The Fishing Derby was held on June 18, however, the river didn't cooperate (as usual) it was pretty muddy.

Had a few boats but not enough to hold the derby.

The rescheduled Fishing Derby will be held on JULY 30.  However we will be having an EVENING Derby.

The hours will be from 4:00PM to 9:00PM.

This will be an any type of fish caught Derby (all species).

The Club will have Hot Dogs/Hamburgers, macaroni salad or potato salad..  If you want something to drink you must supply your own.

Club cannot supply alcohol (insurance reasons).

Weeds are going to need to be WHACKED on the hillside and along the driveway .. soon.  So, if you have some time

come on down and WHACK'EM..

It's now 2016.  HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL...

The Clubs first meeting will be MARCH 30, 2016 at the Coulter Fire hall.

Hope to see you all then...

As most of you know we lost our treasurer last summer, so we need some to take over his duties.

It's not a hard or tedious job we just need some to keep track of our income and

expenses for the year.

Also, it there is some one with any experience with Website design we could use you.  Our website needs updating,

I'm not use to the new website building and having some problems keeping it updated.

Hope to see everyone at the April meeting as I will be on vacation that week in March.....VIVA LAS VEGAS BABY.........Jim

**********************************************************************************************

We will be having a work detail on Sept 2 at the boat launch at 5:30PM.

We have a problem with one of the concrete slabs.  We need to move it.

If we don't fix it there may be a problem when launching your boat.

It has slid to far into the river.  You may get your trailer or even your vehicle stuck, and unable to move it

without the help of a tow truck.  This is a serious problem and could be expensive for you if you get stuck.

We are going to rake the hillsides to remove the dead weeds so please bring a garden rake.

We need to elect  3 new trustees, recording secretary, and treasurer.

**********************************************************************************************

We are still looking for a supplier for stocking the walleye, if anyone knows someone who could supply us with

the fish please contact Mike Neal or me our phone numbers and email addresses on the Contacts page.

We will be having a work detail this coming Wednesday (Aug 5 at 6:00pm).

This detail is too cut the weeds down along the hillside and along the launch ramp.

The club will supply the gas and oil.

All you have to bring is your weed whacker and line.

As of today the pavilion is still available (FREE to members)..  If you want to use it

please contact Mike or me.  It's a first come first served on it's use.

***********************************************************************************************

We had our fishing derby  on June 13.  Did not have a big turnout.

The largest fish was a whitebass caught by Alexa Shoup.  Congradulations to her.

We would like to have another one later this summer but we need more people to come, so if

you are interested we will be talking about it at the next meeting JULY 29 at 7:00 pm at the boat launch/pavilion.

Roof gutters and downspouts were damaged by the ICE this past winter.  They were replaced by Kirk Dodds and helpers

All the material was donated.

The pavilion will be unavailable JULY 11-12.  It is being used by  North Huntingdon Water Rescue

You still can use the launch ramp. Just be courteous to the Water Rescue Team.

This is a reminder to all members that the launch ramp, pavilion area and parking lot to be

kept clean of all trash  So please take your trash home with you, we do not have trash pick-up.

If you have some free time

you can come down anytime with your weed whacker and whack some weeds

 along the ramp and hillsides.

**********************************************************************************************

We put in the boat dock at the last meeting.  We had about 15 members to help put in.

We realyy didn't have a meeting we just put the dock in, followed by a BS session that lasted to about 8:00 PM.

The next meeting is June 24th at the Club grounds.

There is a list at the pavilion with the dates it is reserved and by whom.

Remember if you want to reserve it please contact any of the officers.

Their phone number is on the contact page of this website.

As of today there is no one reserving the pavilion.

**Fish stockings and Fishing Contests will be announced at the meetings.

We started to sell hats for the club and the profit from them we also be used to purchase

for any kind of fish and the largest is the winner.

One contest was won by "Stan" the clubs membership secretary and the other was

won by "Crash".   We have another contest scheduled for Oct 20th.  It is an "open" contest

The second meeting of the year was held on April 25th.

Mike brought us some hats that we will be selling this year, all

proceeds from selling the hats will be for stocking walleye this coming fall.

The hats will cost $12.00 each.  Suggest that you come to the next meeting to

purchase one.  We are looking at different style of hats.  So to know which style will

be available you should come to one of the meetings.

Mike passed out some pins with number of years of service to the club some club members.

If you have any free time you can come down and do some weed whacking along the hillside

and the driveway.

Going to try and get the dock in soon (depends on river conditions) we will need quite a few people

to do this.  We will let you know at the club meeting.

I got this e-mail from Marty's wife on November 1st.

Aquatic Management brought the fish October 31st.  He called in the morning to bring them so there was not time to give you a notice.   They stocked 1,100 fish  4-7 inches  all walleye

The final meeting of 2009 was held on Sept 30th.

This weather year has not been very kind to us for holding our fishing contests, every one was washed out because of rain or the river was to high and fast.  Better luck next year.

It was decided since the contests and picnic were washed out that we would do a DOUBLE stocking of walleye this fall.

They have been ordered and will be here at the end of the month.

When I get a date I'll post in on the Clubs' main web page.

See you all next year.

JIM

Good luck to all the deer hunters this year.

Send me you pictures so I can post them.
